Dr. Suess
Michael's class recently did a "Living Wax Museum". Each student pick a notable historical figure, wrote a speech, dressed as the figure, and recited it to anyone who "activated" them. Michael was Dr. Suess.

Camp Reads-A-Lot
January 12th kicked off the 20th Annual SchoolForce Reading Power Read-a-thon. The largest fundraising event of the year, it encourages the love of reading and raises funds to support our schools. Last year, Belmont-Redwood Shores students read over 2 million minutes to raise $278,725 to support Belmont-Redwood Shores schools! Michael is well on his way of reaching his goal to read 1500 minutes during the campaign. 2022 New Years in Carmel, CA
After our Christmas weekend at the Great Wolf Lodge (see previous post) we spent New Years weekend at an Air BnB in Carmel. Saturday was quite stormy so it was perfect to go to the Monterey Bay Aquarium (though we learned once we got there that it was the busiest weekend of the year). Luckily Sunday was quite nice so we had fun exploring the tide pools at a local state park while Danielle rested her still-broken toe and chatted with passers-by.

Great Wolf Lodge
With all the family changes this year, we needed to find something new to do for Christmas. We decided to go to the Great Wolf Lodge in Manteca, CA, a Hotel/Water Park. A great time was had by all. Michael even made a couple of new friends.
